Little Library
Sharing Books, Encouragement, and Opportunity
At Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church, our Little Library is a simple way to share the gift of reading with the community.
Books can open minds, encourage hearts, inspire imagination, and create lifelong learning. This small library is one way we seek to bless neighbors through generosity and kindness.
Take a book. Leave a book. Share the joy of reading.
How It Works
The Little Library is open to the community and available for readers of all ages.
You are welcome to:
- Take a book to enjoy

There is no cost and no sign-up required.

Book availability changes often based on donations.
Why It Matters
Reading can build confidence, create opportunity, and provide comfort.
Sometimes a single book can encourage a child, inspire an adult, or brighten someone’s day.
Small acts of kindness often have lasting impact.
How You Can Help
You can support the Little Library by donating clean, gently used books in good condition.
Children’s and young adult books are especially appreciated.
If the library is full, please contact the church for additional donation options.
A Blessing to the Community
Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church serves Pleasant Grove, western Birmingham, Jefferson County, and surrounding communities.
We are grateful to share books, learning, and encouragement with our neighbors.
Come and See
We believe churches can be places of hope in many simple ways—and sometimes hope looks like a free book waiting to be opened.
