Celebrating the Resurrection of Jesus Christ

What Happened on Easter?
After Jesus was crucified on Good Friday, His body was placed in a tomb.
On the third day, women who came to the tomb discovered that the stone had been rolled away and the tomb was empty.
Angels announced that Jesus had risen from the dead.
Jesus then appeared to His disciples and many others over a period of forty days before ascending into heaven.
The resurrection confirmed that Jesus is the Son of God and fulfilled God’s plan of salvation.
Why Easter Matters
Because Jesus rose from the dead:
We know that death does not have the final word.
We have forgiveness through Christ.
We can experience new life in Him.
We have hope in times of suffering and loss.
We look forward to the resurrection and eternal life.
Easter reminds us that God’s power is greater than sin, darkness, and death.
