Mission and Outreach
Sharing the Love of Christ Through Service, Compassion, and the Gospel
From the very beginning, God has called His people to be a blessing to the world.
Jesus commissioned His followers to make disciples of all nations, love their neighbors, care for those in need, and proclaim the good news of salvation. Mission and outreach are not activities reserved for a few people. They are part of the calling of every Christian.
Some believers serve across the world.
Others serve across the street.
Some teach.
Some give.
Some pray.
Some encourage.
Some visit the lonely.
Some provide food, clothing, or practical help.
Each act of service becomes an opportunity to reflect the love of Jesus Christ.
Mission and outreach are not simply about meeting physical needs.
Why Mission Matters
God’s mission has always been to bring people into a relationship with Him.
Throughout the Bible, we see His love reaching people of every nation, language, and generation.
As followers of Christ, we are invited to participate in His work by serving others, sharing our faith, and demonstrating His love wherever He leads us.
Mission begins with God’s heart for people.
Serving Our Local Community
Many opportunities to serve are close to home.
Helping families in need.
Supporting local ministries.
Visiting those who are homebound.
Providing meals.
Collecting supplies.
Serving children and students.
Encouraging senior adults.
Offering practical assistance during difficult seasons.
Small acts of kindness often open doors for meaningful conversations about Christ.
Supporting Global Missions
Jesus commanded His disciples to make disciples of all nations.
Christians have faithfully supported missionaries through prayer, financial giving, encouragement, and short-term mission opportunities.
Whether we go ourselves or support those who are sent, we become partners in God’s global mission.
Every Christian Has a Role
Not everyone is called to the same ministry.
Some serve publicly.
Others serve quietly behind the scenes.
Some lead.
Others faithfully pray.
Some give generously.
Others offer hospitality.
God has given every believer gifts that can be used to build His Kingdom.
No act of service is too small when it is offered for His glory.
Pray for Those Who Serve
Mission begins and continues through prayer.
Pray for missionaries.
Church leaders.
Volunteers.
Local ministries.
Community leaders.
People who have not yet heard the gospel.
Ask God to provide wisdom, protection, open doors, and transformed lives.
Prayer strengthens every ministry.
Living on Mission Every Day
Mission is more than organized events.
It is a lifestyle.
We live on mission in our homes.
Our workplaces.
Our schools.
Our neighborhoods.
Our communities.
Every conversation.
Every act of kindness.
Every opportunity to serve can point someone toward Jesus Christ.
As we faithfully love God and love our neighbors, we become His ambassadors wherever He has placed us.
