3.0 Season 3: The Gospel Goes Out- Overview

The Missionary Church (Acts 10–20)

The Message Moves Beyond Jerusalem

The Church began in Jerusalem.

The Holy Spirit came at Pentecost.

Believers grew in faith, faced opposition, and learned to trust God through difficult circumstances.

Now the gospel begins moving outward in a new way.

Season Three tells the story of how God expanded His mission beyond familiar boundaries and into the wider world. The message of Jesus reached new regions, new cultures, and new people. Barriers that once divided people began to fall as God’s grace extended to Jews and Gentiles alike.

The Church was no longer simply surviving.

The Church was moving.

Through Peter, Barnabas, Paul, and many faithful believers, the gospel spread throughout the Roman world. New churches were planted. New disciples were made. New leaders emerged.

What began in Jerusalem was becoming a worldwide movement.

Season Theme

God’s mission is for all people, and the gospel cannot be contained by borders, cultures, or human divisions.

Key Scripture

and

Why This Matters Today

The gospel continues to cross boundaries.

God’s love is not limited by nationality, culture, language, background, or life experience.

The same mission that sent believers throughout the Roman world continues today.

The Church is called to welcome people, share hope, make disciples, and help others grow in faith.

Every believer has a role in God’s mission.

The Gospel Still Moves

Acts 10–20 reminds us that Christianity was never intended to remain in one place.

The message of Jesus moves from person to person, community to community, and generation to generation.

The Church grows whenever believers faithfully share the hope they have found in Christ.

What began in Jerusalem continues around the world today.

And we are part of that story.
