“When you pass through the waters, I will be with you.” — Isaiah 43:2
Step 3: Live It Out
Walking Through Fire with God
But faith grows when we learn to walk through the hard places—with God beside us.
🎥 Through Deep Waters
This visual reflection on Isaiah 43:2 reminds us that we are never alone—
not in the waters, not in the fire, not in the unknown.

Grounded in Scripture (Truth)
“When you pass through the waters, I will be with you;
And through the rivers, they will not overflow you.
When you walk through the fire, you will not be scorched,
Nor will the flame burn you.” — Isaiah 43:2 (NASB)
God does not promise a life without difficulty.
He promises His presence in the middle of it.
Why This Matters (Reason)
There are seasons when life feels like:
- Walking through deep waters
- Facing overwhelming circumstances
- Standing in the heat of trial, loss, or uncertainty
This is where fear often rises.
But Scripture reminds us:
- You are not alone in the waters
- You are not abandoned in the fire
- You are not forgotten in the struggle
God is not waiting on the other side—
He is with you in the middle of it.
This is how trust grows:
not by avoiding hardship, but by experiencing God within it.
Living It Out (Response)
Faith becomes real when we take steps in the middle of real life.
1. Name the fire you are walking through
Be honest with God. He already knows.
2. Choose to trust His presence
Even when you don’t feel it, speak truth over your situation.
3. Take one faithful step forward
Not ten. Just one. God walks with you step by step.
4. Remember where God has been faithful before
What He has done, He can do again.
Walk It Out This Week
- When fear rises, pause and pray:
“God, You are with me—even here.” - Read Isaiah 43:2 each day
- Write down one moment where you saw God’s presence
- Encourage someone else who is walking through a hard season
A Beacon of Light in Hard Seasons (Hope)
Even in the fire, God’s presence becomes a light that cannot be extinguished.
At Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church, we believe that
hope is not found in avoiding the fire—but in walking through it with God.
Here, neighbors become family, and no one walks alone.
