Season 2: The Promise

God Chooses a People

The Promise: God Chooses a People
God called Abraham to leave the familiar and follow Him in faith. Through one family, God began unfolding a covenant promise that would ultimately bless all nations and point toward Jesus Christ.

Season 2: The Promise

God Chooses a People

After the confusion of Babel, the story of the Old Testament takes a remarkable turn.

Instead of focusing on nations and kingdoms, God begins His plan through one person.

God calls a man named Abraham and invites him to trust a promise that seems impossible.

Through Abraham and his descendants, God will create a people, establish a covenant, and begin unfolding a plan that will eventually bless the entire world.

Season 2 explores the lives of Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, and Joseph—ordinary people who experienced God’s guidance, provision, forgiveness, and faithfulness.

Their stories are filled with victories and failures, faith and doubt, blessings and challenges. Yet through every circumstance, God continues to keep His promises.

Most importantly, these stories help us understand how God’s covenant with Abraham points forward to Jesus Christ and God’s plan of salvation for all people.

Why This Season Matters

The Promise teaches us:

God often works through ordinary people.

Faith means trusting God even when the future is uncertain.

God keeps His promises, even when people fail.

God’s plans are bigger than what we can see.

God’s covenant with Abraham ultimately points to Jesus Christ.

The God who called Abraham still calls people to trust Him today.
