Calling God’s People Back

The kingdom had divided.

Israel and Judah struggled with conflict, idolatry, injustice, and spiritual decline.

Kings rose and fell.

Some followed God faithfully for a time.

Others led the people farther away from Him.

Yet God did not abandon His people.

Again and again, God raised up prophets—men and women called to speak His truth during difficult seasons.

The prophets warned the people about the consequences of sin.

They called the nation back to worship, justice, repentance, and faithfulness.

They reminded God’s people that outward religion without faithful hearts could never satisfy God.

But the prophets did more than warn.

They also gave hope.

They spoke of restoration, renewal, and the coming Messiah.

Their messages pointed forward to Jesus Christ and God’s ultimate plan of redemption.

Season 7 explores the lives and messages of the prophets and the promises that carried God’s people through seasons of judgment, exile, and waiting.
