After years of exile and loss, God’s people began returning home to rebuild Jerusalem, restore worship, and renew their covenant with God. Even in brokenness, God’s faithfulness continued.

The prophets had warned God’s people for generations.
Now the consequences of disobedience had come.
Jerusalem was destroyed.
The Temple lay in ruins.
Many people were carried away into exile in Babylon.
God’s people wondered if their story was over.
Had God abandoned them?
Would they ever return home?
Yet even during exile, God remained faithful.
Through prophets, visions, prayers, and unexpected leaders, God preserved hope for the future.
Eventually, after many years in exile, God opened the door for His people to return to Jerusalem.
The journey home would not be easy.
The walls were broken.
The Temple was gone.
The people were discouraged.
But God was beginning a work of restoration.
Season 8 explores the return from exile, the rebuilding of Jerusalem and the Temple, and the renewed hope that prepared God’s people for the coming Messiah.
