One of the most beautiful truths in the Bible is that God is merciful.
Every person has sinned and fallen short of God’s perfect standard. Left on our own, we could never earn God’s forgiveness or restore our relationship with Him. Yet because of His great mercy, God reaches toward us with compassion, forgiveness, and hope.

What Is the Mercy of God?
God’s mercy is His compassionate response to people in their need.
Mercy means that instead of giving us the judgment we deserve for our sin, God extends forgiveness, patience, and loving kindness.

The Bible is filled with examples of God’s mercy.
After Adam and Eve sinned, God provided clothing for them and promised a future Redeemer.

God did not ignore sin.
Jesus willingly bore its penalty.
Because Christ paid the price for sin, God can extend mercy without compromising His holiness or justice.
Through faith in Jesus, believers receive forgiveness, reconciliation, and the hope of eternal life.
The cross is the greatest expression of God’s mercy.
Mercy Every Morning
God’s mercy is not limited to the day we first believe.
Every day we depend upon His mercy.
When we fail…
God is merciful.
