The Attributes of God
Understanding the Character of the God We Worship
Who is God?
The Bible answers this question by revealing God’s attributes—His perfect qualities and unchanging character. God’s attributes tell us what He is like and help us understand how He relates to His creation and His people.
God is not constantly changing or becoming something new. He has always been who He is and always will be. Everything God does flows from His perfect character. He is holy in all He does, loving in all He does, just in all He does, faithful in all He does, and wise in all He does.

God’s perfect attributes reveal His unchanging character and invite us to know, trust, and worship Him more deeply.
What Are the Attributes of God?
An attribute is a characteristic or quality that describes someone.
God’s attributes describe His perfect nature. Unlike human qualities, God’s attributes are never flawed, limited, or inconsistent. Every attribute is perfectly balanced with every other attribute.
God is never loving without also being holy.
He is never just without also being merciful.
He is never powerful without also being wise.
Everything God does reflects the fullness of His perfect character.
