The Return of Jesus

Christ Has Come. Christ Will Come Again.

The return of Jesus Christ is one of the central promises of the Christian faith. Throughout the New Testament, believers are encouraged to live with hope, confidence, and expectation because Jesus has promised that He will come again.

The first coming of Jesus brought salvation through His life, death, and resurrection. His second coming will bring the completion of God’s plan, the defeat of evil, the resurrection of the dead, the final judgment, and the renewal of all things.

Christians may differ on the details of prophecy and the timing of future events, but believers throughout history have agreed on this truth: Jesus Christ will return.

The Promise of His Return

Before His death and resurrection, Jesus promised His disciples that He would come again.

After His ascension, angels declared that Jesus would return in the same manner as He departed.

The early Church lived with the expectation that Christ would one day return and establish His kingdom in its fullness.

Why Jesus Will Return

The hope of resurrection gives Christians confidence that God’s promises extend beyond this life.

The Return of Christ and Judgment

Scripture teaches that Jesus will return as both Savior and King.

He will judge with justice and righteousness.

Every wrong will be addressed.

God’s truth will be fully revealed.

For believers, this judgment is not a reason for fear but a reminder that God is faithful, holy, and just.

A New Heaven and a New Earth

The Bible concludes with a vision of God’s renewed creation.

Sin, suffering, death, and sorrow will be removed.

God will dwell fully with His people.

The brokenness of the world will be replaced by everlasting peace and joy.

The return of Jesus leads to the fulfillment of God’s promise to make all things new.

How the Feast of Trumpets Connects

Many Christians see a connection between the Feast of Trumpets and the return of Christ.

Throughout Scripture, trumpets announced important events, called people to gather, and signaled God’s activity.

Several New Testament passages connect Christ’s return with the sound of a trumpet.

For this reason, the Feast of Trumpets serves as a reminder of hope, preparation, and anticipation.

Why This Matters

The promise of Christ’s return reminds believers that history is moving toward God’s purpose.

Evil will not have the final word.

Death will not have the final victory.

Jesus came the first time as Savior. He will return as King. His return completes the story of redemption and fulfills God’s promises to His people. The Christian life is lived between these two great events: Christ has come, and Christ will come again.
