The Final Judgment is one of the foundational teachings of the Christian faith. Scripture teaches that God is holy, just, and righteous, and that one day He will bring history to its proper conclusion. At that time, Jesus Christ will judge the living and the dead, evil will be defeated, and God’s justice will be fully revealed.

What Is the Final Judgment?
The Final Judgment is the future event when God will judge all humanity through Jesus Christ.
Every person will stand before God.
Every life will be evaluated.
Every secret will be revealed.
Every wrong will be addressed.
God’s justice will be fully accomplished.
The Final Judgment demonstrates both God’s holiness and His righteousness.
Jesus as Judge
The New Testament teaches that God has entrusted judgment to Jesus Christ.
The One who came first as Savior will also come as Judge.
Jesus understands human life because He entered our world, experienced suffering, faced temptation, and lived among us.
His judgment will be perfect because He knows every heart and every circumstance.
Why Is Judgment Necessary?
God is a God of love, but He is also a God of justice.
Throughout history, many wrongs have gone unpunished.
Many acts of evil have seemed to triumph.
Many faithful believers have suffered.
The Final Judgment assures us that evil will not have the final word.
God will make all things right.
His justice will prevail.

The Book of Revelation describes a great judgment scene in which books are opened before God.
This imagery reminds us that God knows every thought, word, and action.
Nothing is hidden from Him.
The judgment reveals God’s perfect knowledge and His perfect justice.
Salvation and Judgment
Christians believe that salvation comes through faith in Jesus Christ.
No one earns salvation through good works.
Forgiveness comes through God’s grace.
Those who trust in Christ stand before God clothed in His righteousness.
The Final Judgment does not change the Gospel. Rather, it reveals the truth of God’s saving work and the reality of each person’s response to Him.
Rewards and Accountability
Scripture teaches that believers will give an account of their lives.
God sees acts of service, faithfulness, generosity, worship, and obedience.

The Defeat of Evil
The Final Judgment marks the ultimate defeat of Satan, sin, death, and evil.
Everything opposed to God’s kingdom will be removed.
