God’s Perfect Creation
God created the world and declared it good.
Genesis 1:31
“God saw all that He had made, and behold, it was very good.”
Adam and Eve lived in the Garden of Eden.

Abundant provision
Freedom within God’s boundaries

The Command in the Garden

The Temptation

The First Sin

“When the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was a delight to the eyes… she took from its fruit and ate.”
Eve ate the fruit.
Adam knowingly joined her.
Their disobedience brought sin into the human experience.
This moment is often called “The Fall.”

Sin changed everything.

Broken fellowship with God

The New Testament presents Jesus as the answer to Adam’s failure.
Where Adam disobeyed, Jesus obeyed.
Where Adam brought death, Jesus brings life.
Where Adam’s sin affected all humanity, Jesus offers salvation to all who believe.

“For as through the one man’s disobedience the many were made sinners, even so through the obedience of the One the many will be made righteous.”
What the Fall Means Today
Every person is affected by the Fall.
We all experience:
Sin
Brokenness
Temptation
Suffering
Physical death
The Fall explains why the world is not as God originally intended.
Yet it also points us to God’s grace and His plan of salvation.
The Hope of Restoration
The story of Scripture does not end in Genesis 3.
Through Jesus Christ:
Sin can be forgiven.
Relationship with God can be restored.
The Holy Spirit transforms believers.
Creation itself will one day be renewed.
Revelation describes a future where God’s people once again dwell with Him in perfect fellowship.
What was lost in Eden will ultimately be restored through Christ.
