Asking God to Draw Hearts to Jesus Christ

One of the greatest expressions of Christian love is praying for people who do not yet know Jesus Christ.

Every person is deeply loved by God. He desires that all people come to know Him through faith in His Son, Jesus Christ. While we cannot change another person’s heart, God can work in ways that we cannot see.

Prayer prepares hearts.

Prayer opens doors.

Prayer reminds us that salvation is God’s work, accomplished through His grace and the power of the Holy Spirit.

Whether you are praying for a spouse, child, grandchild, family member, friend, neighbor, coworker, or someone you have only recently met, never underestimate what God can do through faithful prayer.

No one is beyond His reach.

Pray That Their Hearts Will Be Open

Many people have questions, doubts, hurts, or misunderstandings about Christianity.

Ask God to soften their hearts and open their minds to the truth of the gospel.

Pray that they will become receptive to God’s love and willing to seek Him with sincerity.

The Holy Spirit is able to work in ways no human conversation ever could.

Pray That They Will Encounter Jesus

Ask God to reveal Himself through His Word, His people, and the circumstances of life.

Pray that they will recognize His love, His grace, and their need for a Savior.

May they come to understand that salvation is found through Jesus Christ alone.

Pray for Opportunities to Share Your Faith

Sometimes God answers our prayers by giving us opportunities to speak.

Pray that He will help you:

Recognize those opportunities.

Speak with wisdom.

Listen with compassion.

Answer questions with gentleness and respect.

Reflect Christ through your words and actions.

Our lives often speak as loudly as our words.

Pray for Christian Witnesses

God often uses many people to draw someone to Himself.

Pray that unbelievers will encounter faithful Christians who demonstrate the love, grace, truth, and compassion of Christ.

Ask God to place believers in their path who will encourage them and answer their questions with patience and kindness.

Pray with Patience

Some people come to faith quickly.

Others take many years.

Do not become discouraged if you do not see immediate results.

Continue praying faithfully.

God’s timing is often different from ours.

He is always at work, even when we cannot see what He is doing.

Love Them as You Pray

Prayer should always be accompanied by genuine love.

Treat people with kindness and respect.

Listen to their stories.

Care for their needs.

Avoid arguments that produce more heat than light.

Instead, let your life reflect the character of Jesus.

Faithful love often opens doors for meaningful conversations.

Trust God with the Results

Salvation belongs to the Lord.

Our responsibility is to pray faithfully, love sincerely, share the gospel when opportunities arise, and trust God with the outcome.

No prayer offered in faith is wasted.

Continue placing your loved ones into God’s hands, believing that He is able to accomplish far more than we can imagine.
