Sharing the Love of Christ Through Compassion, Service, and Mission
Jesus calls every believer to make a difference in the lives of others.
Throughout His earthly ministry, He welcomed the outcast, cared for the sick, fed the hungry, comforted the grieving, and proclaimed the good news of God’s Kingdom. He taught His followers that greatness is found not in being served, but in serving others with humility, compassion, and love.
Service and outreach are not activities reserved for pastors, missionaries, or church leaders.
They are part of the calling of every Christian.
Whether we serve within our church, help a neighbor, support a local ministry, pray for someone who is hurting, or participate in missions around the world, every act of love becomes an opportunity to reflect the heart of Christ.
God has uniquely gifted every believer to serve.
Some teach.
Some encourage.
Some lead.
Some pray.
Some give generously.
Some quietly serve behind the scenes.
Every act of faithful service matters because every act points people toward Jesus.
Why We Serve
We do not serve to earn God’s love.
We serve because we have already experienced His love through Jesus Christ.
Our acts of kindness, generosity, hospitality, and compassion become expressions of gratitude for all that God has done for us.
As we serve others, we become the hands and feet of Christ in our homes, churches, communities, and around the world.
Serving Within the Church
Every church depends upon people who faithfully use their gifts to serve.
Teaching.
Welcoming guests.
Preparing meals.
Visiting those who are homebound.
Praying for others.
Caring for children.
Supporting worship.
Encouraging fellow believers.
Serving within the church strengthens the body of Christ and helps every member grow in faith.
Serving Our Community
Jesus calls us to love our neighbors in practical ways.
Whether providing food, clothing, encouragement, prayer, or simply a listening ear, acts of compassion demonstrate God’s love to those around us.
Serving our communities often opens doors to meaningful relationships and opportunities to share the hope of Christ.
Mission Beyond Our Community
God’s mission extends to every nation.
Some believers are called to serve across the street.
Others serve across the world.
We participate in God’s mission through prayer, financial support, encouragement, mission trips, and faithfully sharing the gospel wherever He leads us.
Every believer has a part to play in God’s mission.
Living a Life of Service
Service is not simply something we do at church.
It is a way of life.
Every conversation.
Every act of kindness.
Every opportunity to encourage another person can become an expression of God’s love.
As followers of Christ, we seek to serve with humility, generosity, compassion, and joy, trusting God to use even the smallest acts of faithfulness for His glory.
