Peacemaking

Reflecting the Peace of Christ in Our Relationships and Our World

Jesus did not simply call His followers to be peaceful people—He called them to be peacemakers. A peacemaker is someone who actively works to bring healing, understanding, reconciliation, and unity while remaining faithful to God’s truth. Peacemaking is not avoiding conflict or pretending problems do not exist. Instead, it is choosing to respond to conflict with wisdom, humility, courage, grace, and love.

Our world is often marked by division, anger, misunderstanding, and hostility. Families experience conflict. Friendships become strained. Churches sometimes disagree. Communities face tension. Even nations struggle with deep divisions. In every setting, followers of Jesus are called to be people who promote peace without compromising biblical truth.

True peace begins with our relationship with God through Jesus Christ. As we experience His peace, He enables us to become instruments of His peace in our homes, churches, workplaces, neighborhoods, communities, and wherever He leads us.

“Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called sons of God.” — Matthew 5:9 (NASB 1995)
